Izanami, originally named Karasugo Senba, was taken in by the Karasugo family 12 years ago. She came to be called a witch after being falsely accused of a crime. After devising a plan to kill the Crow God, she became the head of the Karasugo family behind the scenes. She always seems rational and aloof in this role, even unapproachable, but she lets those close to her see her girlish side.

After becoming the true hierarch of the Karasugo family, Izanami found a hidden room in the mansion to live in seclusion. The room was as dark and lonely as the basement she was imprisoned in. Though not a prisoner anymore, her heart would never be free of that prison cell. "I'm used to seclusion and darkness, just let me stay here." This was her reply to her brother Karasugo Sendou when he urged her to pick a different room. But her brother could see the fire burning quietly in her eyes—the fire of her vow to burn Akika to ash. Whenever she lay in that darkness, images of Akika killing her mother and the humiliation Rouka brought upon Izanami would pour into her mind, tearing open wounds that would never heal. Later, knowing that there was nothing he could say to change her mind, Karasugo Sendou reluctantly brought the furniture from Senba's room into the basement. Izanami would sometimes stare absent-mindedly at these objects of nostalgia—these were some of the few times that Izanami, always strategizing as the family head from the behind the scenes, could empty her mind. After being painted as a demon, she could no longer live as the younger daughter of the Karasugo family. Thanks to a few attendants who served her, news that a witch was being secretly kept in confinement by the Karasugo family spread like wildfire. First she was a "witch," then she was a "calamity." These epithets multiplied, but she never forgot who she truly was.

Degradation

When the Mod summons Hisame to attack the enemy by triggering Extremity Dodge to avoid Ice Mirror shards, expends 25 Rage to change Hisame's attack mode: Extremity Dodge against an Ice Mirror generated by Normal Attack: Hisame deals Ice DMG equal to 400% ATK (+10.256% for every level normal attack is upgraded) in total. Extremity Dodge against an Ice Mirror generated by Higan: Frostdance: Hisame deals Ice DMG equal to 1000% ATK (+25.641% for every level Skill 1 is upgraded) in total. Extremity Dodge against an Ice Mirror generated by Higan: Bonechill: Hisame deals Ice DMG equal to 1000% ATK (+25.641% for every level Skill 2 is upgraded) in total.

Thousand Demise

Extremity Dodge can no longer trigger Dodge effect. Instead, the Dodge effect is triggered when attacks are blocked with Higan: Chibiki. When Higan: Chibiki blocks a hit from Ice Mirror, consuming Mirrorwalk effect grants an extra 15 Rage. Broken Mirror: Secret also inflicts Freeze on hit enemies for 2.5s. This Freeze state also grants the following effects: Its duration is not affected (halved) by Super Armor. Inflicting this Freeze on an enemy already in another Freeze state will not stack Control RES points. When a follow-up attack (launched by tapping Normal Attack after Extremity Dodge) hits a Frozen enemy, it removes the enemy's Freeze state. Hisame deals 15% more DMG to normal enemies. Normal enemies with less than 25% HP are defeated instantly when hit by Hisame.

Decay

Every time a hit is landed by Hisame (summoned by Normal Attack's Mirrorwalk expenditure), inflicts the enemy hit with Armor Break and reduces its DEF by 5% for 7s. Effect stacks up to 4 times.

Broken Promise

When Mirrorwalk is active, tapping on Normal Attack starts the attack from the fifth strike even when not in the fourth strike, and changes the attack mode. An ice flower forms when an enemy is defeated, and shatters after some time, dealing Ice DMG equal to 400% ATK in total. Up to 4 ice flowers may be on the field at any time.

Broken Mirror: Dark inflicts Freeze on enemies hit for 2.5s. This Freeze state also grants the following effects: The duration of this Freeze effect is not affected (halved) by Super Armor. When an enemy already in other Freeze states is inflicted with this Freeze state, no Control RES points will be stacked. When the last attack of Mirrorbloom: Frostdance or Mirrorbloom: Bonechill hits an enemy with Freeze, the Freeze state will be removed. At the same time, the Mod's Non-DoT ATK is increased by 40% and their Crit Rate, by 40%.

This crystal-clear blade can link Izanami's Divine Grace to the alter-dimension. Each swing generates a gust of air so cold, it's as if it came from the depths of the netherworld itself. Izanami relies on this to control the data of wandering spirits—Hisame, however, fights for herself.

Equipping Flower of Yomi - Izanami grants the following effects: Increases Base DMG of Skill 1 and 2 by 28%. When Mirrorwalk is gained, restores 4% HP. When Aether Code Ice Mirror From Afterlife - Glaciated is active, Code will not be triggered while in Modified Mode, and attacks landed on enemies not afflicted with Freeze while in Modified Mode inflicts Freeze until Modified Mode ends. After hitting an enemy afflicted with Freeze 5 times, removes the enemy's Freeze effect and triggers an additional skill attack, dealing Ice DMG equal to 700% of ATK in total. For 19s after triggering the Dodge effect by dodging the broken Ice Mirror, increases the Non-DoT ATK of Broken Mirror: Dark by 8% the next 4 times. For 19s after triggering the Dodge effect by blocking the broken Ice Mirror with Higan: Chibiki, increases the Non-DoT ATK of Broken Mirror: Secret by 8% the next 4 times.
