Overview:

Skadi is an Ice-attribute DPS with both support and damage capabilities. However, her damage capability is not outstanding before Synergy, and her support capability is limited to Ice teams and is not as potent as Kuramitsuha’s.

Therefore, it is generally not recommended to build her before she can be Synergized. She is the second character in the game to have dual forms.

Before Synergy, her Typhon Sword form is more suitable for dealing damage, while her Cruise Mode is more of a support tool for freezing and stunning.

After Synergy, the short-term burst of the cruise build has slightly higher output than the sword build. In long fights, the cruise build and a skilled sword build have roughly the same damage output (it should be noted here that the sword build is very dependent on mechanical skill and the use of blocking; it is recommended for new players to just play the Cruise build.

Synergy evaluation:

Compared to before, her strength has more than doubled. With Synergy Kuramitsuha and Blue-line Irkalla as partners, her performance rises sharply, and she even gets extra mileage out of the new Sigils. In short, she’s in an excellent spot right now.

Sigil Recommendations:

  • Typhon Sword: use [Vanargand's Seal] + [Ambush of the Owl].

  • Cruise Mode: use [Vanargand's Seal] (Global) / [City of the Dead] (CN 4.5) + [Acheron's Obol].

Aether Code Recommendations:

All three lines have their own unique features.

  • The Blue line, Voyager Star, uses charged attacks to deal high damage.

  • The Yellow line, Öndurgud, enhances the damage capability in Cruise mode.

  • The Red line, Winter at Sea, is limited to use with Ice teams, increasing the entire team’s Ice-element damage.

There is also a pre-Synergy Aether Code setup: Red 2, Yellow 1, focusing on the damage bonus from the Icebreaker mark, which can achieve decent damage when used by the AI.

After Synergy, if manually controlled, you can play either the Cruise or Typhon Sword build, as their damage levels are basically the same. However, in speedruns of under 30 seconds, the Cruise build is relatively better.

When left to the AI, the cruise build is the easy choice; the AI can be very clumsy when playing the Typhon Sword build.

Signature Functor (Elf - Grey):

After Synergy, the demand for her signature Functor is S-tier. It is best to pull a signature Functor for Skadi to experience the pleasure of mindless one-shotting.

If you do not plan to pull for the signature Functor, you can also choose Merfil. Currently, only the Cruise mode can perfectly benefit from Merfil’s damage bonus. It is not recommended to use Merfil with the Typhon Sword form form.

Stat Boost Priority:

Prioritize upgrading Normal Attack and Skill 3. Skill 1 and Skill 2 can be chosen later depending on the situation. It is not recommended to upgrade the Ultimate, as it is basically useless.

Team Recommendations:

The post-Synergy signature Functor provides an independent damage increase, so it is very dependent on Ice RES reduction.

Therefore it is recommended to team Skadi with an Ice RES reduction character, such as Kuramitsuha, Vidar, A-Rank Leviathan, S-Rank Poseidon, etc.

For the third character, it is recommended to use S-Rank Hera or Irkalla.
