Untainted Heart - Lingguang

Overview:

Untainted Heart - Lingguang is an exceptionally strong shield-support and universal buffer, an absolute must-pull unit.

She reliably shields allies to boost survivability while also providing solid damage buffs. With her signature Functor, she even grants the whole team consistent CRIT Rate, a true savior for unlucky players.

Sigil Recommendations:

• Support
  • Slots 1, 2, 3: [Immortal Blackbird]
  • Slots 4, 5, 6: [Wildfire] (CN 4.4)
    • If you want to manual control Lingguang, 4,5,6 [Nibelungenlied] will be better, otherwise you may be quite lacking in ultimate energy recharge.
  • Omega Sigils: Choose between
    • Replacing 2,4: [Guardian’s Whisper] (CN)
    • Replacing 1,5: [Primordial Sun] or [Obelisk of Light] to provide Weak debuff to enemies to trigger warp [Armor Breaker].
• DPS:
  • Slots 1, 2, 3: [Immortal Blackbird]
  • Slots 4, 5, 6: [Guardian’s Whisper] (CN) / [Ambush of the Owl].

Aether Code Recommendations:

• Universal support: Use Red 3 Aether Code (Southland Protector).
  • Increases team ATK, boosts shield value, and enhances the buffs of Skills 2/3.
• Fire support: Use Blue 3 Aether Code (Vermilion Feather).
  • Reduces enemy Fire RES, increases team ATK and Fire DMG.
• Main DPS: Use Yellow 3 Aether Code (Lady of the South).
  • Abandons all support abilities (except the signature Functor’s team buff), consuming all buffs herself for maximum DPS.

Support:

Buff types are comprehensive, significantly enhancing the team’s survivability and damage capability.

• Rotation: Fast buff-application combo 1A1A1A1A followed by Skill 1/2/3 (the Normal Attacks are to cancel the animation of Skill 1).

• Breakdown: Lingguang’s skill descriptions look extremely complex and torturous, but the skill mechanics are not that complicated. Excluding the Ultimate, operating support Lingguang can be simply divided into three parts:

  1. Accumulate Traces

     • In the Trace accumulation phase, you need to Use four skills followed by Normal Attacks within a short interval.

  2. Apply Buffs

     • After accumulating 4 Traces, you enter the Buff application phase, consuming the four Traces to select one of three buffs (two of the three buffs can coexist).

  3. Idle period with Normal Attacks to wait for cooldowns.

     • After applying Buffs, all skills enter cooldown, during which you can use Normal Attacks to accumulate Traces for the next Buff.

• It is recommended to use AI control, but AI-controlled Lingguang has a low coverage rate for the signature Functor buff, so the expected support from the Functor will decrease. Against dummy enemies, AI with 1+2 signature Functor casts Aflame skills once every 11 seconds, while 5+2 casts them every 9 seconds. (Coverage drops further against hyperactive bosses).

• After 4.0 Lingguang’s AI was improved and now only requires about 5 seconds to start up.

DPS:

Overall DPS capability is currently mid-to-upper tier in the game; it is generally not recommended to use DPS Lingguang unless she is highly invested (before SSS rank or 5+2 signature Functor).

• Rotation: Held-A - Held-A - Held-A - A - 3/1 followed by Held-A - A - Held-A - A - 1 (Held-A is holding the Normal Attack button, 3 on the first rotation to activate Fire Brilliant, 1 after that).
• Constantly monitor to maintain the Alight state, and ensure the second Held-A follows the first within 0.5 seconds to interrupt the floor-smash animation of the first.

Team Recommendations:

• Using the Red codes makes her a versatile support, best suited for dual-DPS team compositions.
• The Blue codes binds her to Fire teams, usable in any Fire team, Ek Chuah, Jinwu, Fire Tyr + Madoibi, or Airgetlam + Ryugiri.
