Upon awakening, Serqet knew she was different. As a half-awakened Modifier, she possessed strength and wisdom superior to ordinary people, and was thus taken in by a gang under the Canyonville Gang. During her days in the Gang, the person who took her in always smiled broadly, telling her this was a warm big family. But in one gang operation, the so-called family members decisively abandoned the injured her. Barely standing by leaning against the wall, Serqet couldn't chase after them, only watching the backs of her former family members leave, the fantasy of a warm big family shattered in that moment. Having survived by sheer luck, Serqet chose not to reopen the wound. She wandered between organizations, vowing never again to protect others and to live only for herself, seeking nothing but greater gain. Soon, both money and status gathered in Serqet's hands, she moved from a shabby rental room to a high-end apartment over a hundred floors, everything operating according to the goals she set for herself... but she was always haunted by an indescribable sense of emptiness, as if there was an unfillable void in her heart. When alone, Serqet always huddled in dark corners, watching the shadows lengthening under the sunlight. Unknowingly, she began to feel that the shadows under the sunlight were a bit like herself. Shadowy and blurry into a mass of black, occasionally a few strands of hair flying up, cutting back and forth with the wind, faintly causing pain, and later, the sun itself made her feel somewhat disgusted.
