Leader of the Karasugo family's Kyū Squad, and a master of skiving off work. Kagutsuchi loves nothing more than fishing at the lake. He is often troubled by the fact that he's mistaken for a minor due to his appearance.

Kagutsuchi's youthful, even childlike, appearance has always been a source of problems, explaining the fact many people have had trouble believing throughout the years that Kagutsuchi is the actual captain of the Karasugo Family bodyguard. Kagutsuchi was already an adult mentally and retained a lot of invaluable childishness even in the Sasanami, a place where people live in the constant fear of assassination. Kagutsuchi's youthful appearance certainly comes in handy on certain missions, but he certainly doesn't want to be treated as a kid by anybody outside of these "special" contexts.

For every 5 hits landed with a normal attack, Kagutsuchi is granted 1 Burning Wheel Mark. (Up to 2 Burning Wheel Marks can be held.) Casting of Secret Sword: Blacken or Secret Sword: Charge expends 1 Burning Wheel Mark for an enhanced effect. Ashen: Blacken (enhanced): Deals Fire DMG equal to 955% of ATK (+24.487% for every level Skill 1 is upgraded) in total. Ashen: Charge (enhanced): Deals Fire DMG equal to 600% of ATK (+15.385% for every level Skill 2 is upgraded) in total.

Fiery Dance: Alt is now cast by holding down on the Normal Attack button, and can be used as a follow-up to any normal attack move. Fiery Dance: Alt also now grants Invincible instead of Unyielding.
