Ryugiri - Kagutsuchi

Overview:

Ryugiri Kagutsuchi is a Fire-element DPS/Auxiliary modifier, after his Synergy, his performance is still very average due to mechanical issues. The increased scaling from the Synergy allows Ryugiri to barely keep up with the pack, and as a support unit, his damage has also nearly doubled.

Ryugiri’s AI performance is acceptable because his operation is not difficult. His single-target DPS is passable, but his performance against groups is a bit lacking. After Synergy, his damage ceiling is increased, but it is still recommended to use him as a support unit for Firebrand Tyr or Nuadha. If you are just using him as a support unit, the signature Functor is not particularly important for Ryugiri; you can use the Shinou 5-star generic Functor.

Note: The Synergy enhancement surprisingly doesn’t increase the value of the enhanced Normal Attack. This offensive skill with the highest coverage only has a 360% scaling, which really hurts.

Sigil Recommendations:

• As a support unit for Nuadha’s Ultimate Skillchain:

  • Slots 1, 3, 5: [Scale of Maat]
  • Slots 2, 4, 6: [Nibelungenlied]
    • This increases the damage of the Ultimate Skillchain and also brings a slight output increase to Ryugiri. Using 1,2,3 [Blazing Scarab] + 4,5,6 [Nibelungenlied] can increase the charging speed of the Ultimate Skillchain, but it’s not very useful.

• As a support unit for Firebrand Tyr:

  • Choose between:

    • Slots 1, 2, 3: [Blazing Scarab] / [Witch's Judgment] / [Peacekeeper's Blessing]

    • Slots 4, 5, 6: [Nibelungenlied]

    or:

    • Slots 1, 3, 5: [Primordial Sun]

    • Slots 2, 4, 6: [Nibelungenlied]

    The former is a pure support unit build, while the latter is a support unit build with some damage.

Playstyle:

The Blue Aether Code ‘Skyfire Descends’ provides survivability for Ryugiri’s DPS. His own Crit Rate and Crit DMG are also relatively high, so there is no need to use [Griffins' Pride]. Although the gap with Tsukuyomi has narrowed considerably in single-target and burst damage scenarios, and his damage output can be relatively outstanding with proper operation, he still takes damage from continuous damage-over-time effects, so bosses that inflict Scorch or similar effects will keep you under pressure despite the invincibility window.

Blue line rotation:

• At the start, after collecting 2 Traces, use 3-A-1-A-2-A-1-A-2-A-1-A-1-A. Here, ‘A’ refers to a long-pressed enhanced Normal Attack.
• The cooldown intervals between skills can be used to build up Traces with multiple Normal Attacks.

The Ultimate Skillchain with Nuadha provides the entire team with an Anti-Interruption effect. Having three Fire-attribute damage characters can maximize the benefits of the Fire RES reduction effect. Nuadha + Asura brings a dual Asterism Gen-zone bonus, which can increase the team’s damage ceiling.
