Roaring Thunder - Thor

Overview:

Thor is a Thunder Traces-type DPS and the captain of the Thunder Squad.

In the story, she is lauded by Odin as the strongest combatant in Aether Gazer.

In-game, her Ultimate Skillchain with Living Soul - Osiris (Ausar) also provides good team support capabilities.

She and Ausar are essentially in a ‘wheelchair-pushing’ relationship, where whoever has the higher investment becomes the main DPS.

Overall, she is a relatively strong main DPS. Her stationary DPS is slightly higher than Hades’s, but she doesn’t feel very good to play. It is very easy to miss skills and normal attacks against bosses that move around a lot, and the feel of her normal attacks is also hard to put into words.

Fortunately, her base stats are high, and she has many self-buff multipliers but almost no ‘DMG Dealt to Enemies’ multipliers, so she benefits greatly from Warps. Her Ultimate Skillchain with Ausar is also very powerful, allowing her to burst right from the start of a fight. This makes the Ausar-Thor team very strong for speedruns.

Synergy evaluation:

Getting the first level of her Synergy Module is generally enough. The other levels are not a particularly large upgrade. If you want to push her to the absolute limit, you can max it out.

Sigil Recommendations:

• The [Eternal Chariot] set is tailor-made for Thor and Tsukuyomi (Shinri), allowing them to perfectly utilize its 40% Skill DMG. The remaining sigil set can be [Decree of the Waves] to supplement Traces while also increasing Thor’s ATK and Crit DMG.
• For the Blue Aether Code line, a combination of the Thunder set (Eternal Chariot) on positions 1/3/5 and [Ambush of the Owl] on 2/4/6 can also be used.

Signature Functor (Elf - Celebrian):

• Thor’s exclusive Functor not only adds some mechanics but also directly increases her damage. Therefore, for admins planning to use Thor as their main DPS, pulling for it is highly recommended as it can significantly boost her damage output. Adminis who cannot pull for her exclusive Functor can use the generic 5-star or the 4-star Functor Merfil as a transitional option.

DPS Rotation:

Thor’s core mechanic is to quickly accumulate Thundercloud by weaving skills and normal attacks. After maximizing the buff, she casts a derivative skill to enter Thunder Frenzy state. Generally, once you accumulate around 80 Thundercloud, it won’t drop much with normal play, allowing you to maintain the buff.

  • Both instances of AA refer to the 4th and 5th hits of the combo

  • Remember not to dodge-cancel, or you won’t gain a Trace.

• Red line startup combo:

  133AA211AA

  • The enhanced Skill 2 is skipped here because Skill 1 has a longer cooldown.

Team Recommendations:

• It is recommended to team her up with Living Soul - Osiris (Ausar) and a support. Their Ultimate Skill charge rate is extremely fast, and they have a 35% Skill DMG buff with high uptime.

• Teaming up with A-Rank Verthandi and Hel creates a three-Yggdrasill team with a lightning-fast start. If Bastet has her exclusive functor, the Ausar-Thor-Bastet team is also recommended, with AI Bastet using the Blue Aether Code line.

• Note: Before the introduction of the Somezakura-Kamuy Ultimate Skillchain on Patch 4.0 (CN), she was also the preferred partner for S-Rank Zenkibo. How come Buzenbo ran off and stole Zenki? Why is she so mean?
