Overview:
Asura is a Fire-element main DPS, possessing one of the only two time-stop/strong control skills in the game. She is extremely dependent on her signature Functor, which means her training cost is relatively high. If you don’t want to get her signature Functor, it is not recommended to build her, as Asura’s overall performance without it is not high.
Synergy Evaluation:
The enhancement to the Blue line is less than 10%. The Red and Yellow see higher improvements, but at low investment, the Yellow line’s damage is still not as high as the Blue’s. Currently, the Yellow line has only reached a passable level. The Red line may be useful in certain situations.
Overall, this Synergy only gives Asura a total increase of about 10%, raising her floor but keeping her ceiling relatively low. Except for long battles (over 2 minutes), she can hardly beat most characters. If you are not an Asura main, there is currently not much need to waste resources on her Synergy.
Sigil Recommendations:
For sigils and warps, it is recommended to choose CD reduction. Combined with the Blue line + [Virgo's Meteor] set, you can easily achieve infinite Flamefetter. In short battles, it can be difficult if Flamefetter is not stacked.
Against bosses with forced phase transitions like Halphas and Ladon, Flamefetter will almost always be interrupted. With good technique, this situation can be avoided.
Players who are very confident in their manual control can try using [Primordial Sun] + [Griffins' Pride] to better utilize the Crit DMG from [Primordial Sun]. The drawback is needing energy recovery and cost reduction enchants, otherwise the combo will be slightly clunky.
For average players, it is recommended to use [Primordial Sun] + [Song of the Victor], as this can free up the energy recovery and cost reduction enchants for more offensive ones.
Aether Code Recommendations:
The Blue Aether Code line “Asura’s Justice” has a relatively smooth damage output rhythm, before unlocking CD reduction warps, players need to use [Virgo's Meteor] + [Griffins' Pride] to actively trigger dodges. After getting CD warps, it will be more suitable for new players, greatly improving Asura’s solo combat capability and damage ceiling.
The Yellow Aether Code line “Avidyā” requires energy management and has a higher operational requirement, but its ceiling is currently not as high as the Blue line. Generally, playing the Blue line is sufficient. The Yellow line playstyle mainly involves following up each skill with a ground fire.
Signature Functor (Synchronic - Sāgara):
Functor: The signature Functor, is the key to unlocking her true potential; her damage output depends almost entirely on whether you have it.
The signature Functor also provides energy for Asura, which is the core that completely changes her combo pattern. The signature’s Fire RES reduction is also a key component of a Fire team. Without it, the Blue line cannot maintain infinite Flamefetter.
For transition, “Synchronic - Chakaneeju” can increase the growth rate of the Mod Index Multiplier. If the team has a Ryugiri with the Yellow 1 Aether Code, “Ablation”, you can choose “Synchronic - Vāsuki” to increase damage with the “Scorch” status applied by Ryugiri.
DPS Rotation:
Blue Line (“Asura’s Justice”):
For the first 20 seconds, prioritize normal attacks over heavy attacks to stack the passive (e.g., four normal attacks followed by a dodge cancel to restart the sequence). This is easiest against small enemies.
After 20 to 30 seconds, transition to a main output of one skill + one heavy attack, adjusting based on the boss and personal game knowledge.
Yellow Line (“Avidyā”): The playstyle involves following each skill with a ground fire, using a sequence of Skill + 3 normal attacks + 1 long-press attack.
Tips:
All of Asura’s skills (including special attacks) have long recovery animations that can be canceled with a dodge.
AI Performance:
AI Performance: The AI can now perform basic operations and will basically not break Flamefetter after SSS, so you can safely leave her to the AI. However, the AI will not actively group enemies. If you use the AI, it is recommended that the player manually controls a character who can group enemies, such as Hodur or Enlil.
