Overview:

Ookuninushi is a Physical-element Rage-type modifier. Currently, she’s is more effective as a support for Rage teams. If you want to use her as a main DPS, it is best to have her Signature Functor; otherwise, her long casting times will make her vulnerable to attacks.

Pulling Ookuninushi in the early game is very rewarding. Her simple skill mechanics, high skill multipliers, and low reliance on her Signature Functor make her very strong for clearing content early on.

However, due to her overly simple skill mechanics and the fact that most of her damage is concentrated in her Skill 3 (which is a stationary continuous cast, making it very easy to miss damage against highly mobile bosses), Ookuninushi becomes relatively weak in the late game and can only function as a semi-DPS support.

Overall, as a DPS, Ookuninushi’s performance is average. As a support, her damage is slightly higher than Lingguang’s. There is no need to intentionally pull for Ookuninushi, as she is an old standard S-rank, and the probability of getting her off-banner is very high.

Synergy evaluation:

Overall, her Synergy is decent. It strengthens her support capabilities, allowing her to provide the whole team with a 40% ATK bonus, 17% Crit Rate, and 30% Crit DMG.

However, it’s a pity that the V1 version of her Synergy was nerfed, which changed her from being a potential replacement for Lingguang in some teams to being a lower-tier alternative to S-Rank Hera and Lingguang.

Sigil Recommendations:

If she is a pure support, you can consider using [Obelisk of Light] on positions 1, 2, 3 to apply a weaken buff to enemies. The main DPS can then use the [Armor Breaker] warp.

When supporting Ice characters, she can also use [Iceberg] to provide an Ice RES reduction effect for the main DPS.

Aether Code Recommendations:

  • Support: The Red line “Road to Nenokuni” improves Ookuninushi’s support capabilities and is a must-pick for AI control.

Before Synergy, the Aether Code combination of Red 2 and Blue 1 allows Ookuninushi to maintain 2 card-drawing buffs and a 22% Crit Rate bonus throughout the fight, making it her highest-damage Aether Code combination.

Team Recommendations:

  • Ookuninushi’s divination effect that restores Rage can benefit S-Rank Tsukuyomi. When paired with A-Rank Buzenbo and Tsukuyomi for their Ultimate Skillchain, she can increase Tsukuyomi’s Ultimate charging speed, forming a triple Shinou team.
  • Her current use cases are generally in dual-DPS teams and teams that lack Crit Rate, such as Yellow Aether Code line Jinwu, Madoibi Kagutsuchi + Firebrand Tyr, and Ausar + Thoth teams.

Tips:

The AI-controlled Ookuninushi’s card-drawing mode can be selected through chips, which greatly enhances her support capabilities and optimizes some of her previous shortcomings.
