Overview:

S-Rank Leviathan is a half-DPS, half-support Water element character.

She has both damage and healing, but her damage is not very high, and the healing is more of a bonus. However, she is an excellent support for Ausar, making her significantly stronger and allowing her to maintain her form almost indefinitely.

Her normal attacks and skills have long animations, so it is recommended to let the AI control her instead of playing her manually. (However, the AI’s DPS rotation is problematic).

In summary, Countertide is a “jack of all trades, master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.”

Currently, she can be used in the Ausar-Thoth team and the Oceanus Water team. Players who like her cute design can consider pulling for and building her.

Her signature Functor performs very well in multi-melee lineups and can increase her DPS significantly.

Synergy evaluation:

After synergy, her support capability is more than doubled, and her DPS capability is also increased by about 60% compared to before.

However, there are currently no very suitable teams for her. For Oceanus, to be honest, it’s a bit of a negative improvement.

The visual effects are still too much, making it easy to lose sight of the boss’s movements and miss dodges. But apart from that, she can still provide about a 30% improvement for Water melee characters. However, currently only Oceanus can make use of her, so she has future potential, but for now, she is on hold.

Sigil and Aether Code Recommendations:

  • AI support:
    • For Aether Codes, choose Blue 3 (Fantasea Illusion) or Blue 2 Yellow 1.

    • For Sigils, use a Water sigil on 123 and [Jonah's Echo] 456.

    • The AI can also use Red 2 Yellow 1 + Water/Griffon set.

The damage will be higher, but this will make Countertide’s healing almost useless, so it’s a trade-off between healing and damage.

It is not recommended to use the [Cupbearer of the Gods]/[Moon Drifter] set for the AI, as the damage will be greatly reduced.

The AI’s performance is decent, but without the “Tactical Assembly” M.E.O.W. chip, the AI will run around randomly in multi-boss situations, making it easy to miss healing and damage reduction. Therefore, it is recommended to equip a “Tactical Assembly” M.E.O.W. chip.

Tips:

  • Use the Ultimate Skill after the Skill 3 Traces are fully charged. After using the Ultimate, you can use Skill 3 twice in a row. If you have [Cupbearer of the Gods] and it triggers its effect to restore Traces, you can use Skill 3 three times in a row, which is a good small burst. The rotation is (1) 3-1-3-(2-3).
