Overview:

Athena is a Physical element Divine Grace modifier, possesses a unique rhythm game mechanic. Although the mechanic is not difficult, it requires grasping the rhythm and timing well. Without her Exclusive Functor, one needs to constantly pay attention to both the Harmony stack count and the monsters’ attacks. This makes her very dependent on her Exclusive Functor. Fortunately, the AI is particularly good at playing her, understanding how to release skills based on Harmony stack count, so for players who aren’t particularly fond of her, it’s recommended to assign her to AI use.

Overall, Athena is a character whose mechanism is not difficult, but greatly depends on the player’s timing grasp ability. To play Athena to her upper limit, multiple factors must be considered. When assigned to AI use, her exclusive Functor is not really needed. If manually controlled, her exclusive Functor can reduce Athena’s overall operational difficulty and sustain. When playing as the main DPS, it’s highly recommended to transcend to SS tier or upgrade to transcend 3 exclusive Functor.

In summary, she is a character that extremely depends on spending level and investment level. Low-tier Athena may have very low output, but high-tier Athena under perfect manual control has decent damage output, though it’s very torturous to oneself. So it’s still recommended to assign her to AI use.

Synergy evaluation:

After synergy, it is recommended to choose the Blue Aether Code line, basically allowing continuous sustain of the Hummingblade state. [Philosopher's Fantasies] sigils are no longer needed, bring [Acheron's Obol] for better results.

It’s still recommended to assign her to AI use; as manual play remains demanding. Currently, there is a new Ultimate Skillchain and new team composition with Artemis, so her strength has risen considerably as a result, with both lower and upper limits very high. However, with Thoth still dominating, unless you have strong preference for Athena, it’s generally better to run a Thoth team.

Sigil Recommendations:

• For Athena with low-tier Exclusive Functor or without one, Melee sets are recommended. For high-tier Exclusive Functor (Transcendence 3+ or Athena at SS rank), the effects of [Philosopher's Fantasies] or [Acheron's Obol] will perform better.

Aether Code Recommendations:

• With Exclusive Functor: Use Blue 3 Aether Code (Resounding Hymn). It provides Athena with high damage boosts and strong sustain, suitable for both AI and manual play.
• Low investment or no Functor: You can use Yellow 3 Aether Code (Prelude of Blades) which activates slightly faster than Blue and also provides a better Armor Break debuff to the team.
