Celestial Guardian - Heimdall

Overview:

S-Rank Heimdall is a Water dual-DPS support, with most of her support strength coming from her Ultimate Skill. Her Ultimate has an especially short CD, requiring repeated casts, but the single-Ultimate duration is relatively long, and the AI will pause for about a second after using it. This can cause some buffs to be applied more slowly.

Currently, Water Heimdall is excellent for optimizing Zhiming’s mechanic shortcomings, making her the best support for Zhiming. For low-, mid-, and mid-high-investment Zhiming, the improvement is obvious, but for max-investment Zhiming, the boost is not particularly high. For other Water characters, she is still strong, but since none of them (except Zhiming) have same-element Ultimate Skillchains, bringing her often results in three solo Ultimates, which greatly reduces team strength.

Additionally, Water Heimdall has strong crowd-pull capabilities. While not as extreme as Gengchen, on small maps her effect is nearly identical, making her a good lower-tier alternative to Gengchen.

There are three practical loadouts:

1:

• Slots 2, 3, 6: [Immortal Blackbird]

3:

• Slots 1, 2, 3: [Immortal Blackbird]
• Slots 4, 5, 6: [Song of the Victor]

At Ω you run all three:

• Slots 1, 5: [Echoes of the Journey]

• Slots 2, 3: [Immortal Blackbird]

• Slots 4, 6: [Song of the Victor]

Sigil Enchants:

• Prioritize maxing [Loopback]. If team survivability is low, add some [Standing Tall] as needed.

Aether Code Recommendations:

• Support: Use Yellow 3 Aether Code (On Guard of the High Sky).

Warp Recommendations:

• Prioritize maxing [Unfetter] and [Cognition Iterated], then choose the rest based on your needs.

Signature Functor (Elf - Orlunn):

• It’s still worth pulling one. The base buff it gives is quite high and can effectively boost team damage. If you really can’t get it, use the 5★ Yggdrasill general-purpose Functor instead. Functor transcendence gains are mediocre, usually not worth upgrading unless necessary.

Stat Boost Priority:

• 3 > 2 > 1 > Normal Attack. Do not enhance the Ultimate Skill, it’s useless and a waste of resources.

Team Recommendations:

• Overall, Water Heimdall feels more like a dedicated Zhiming support than a generic Water support, given the lack of same-element Ultimate Skillchains for other Water characters.

  In a Zhiming team, she can completely replace Lingguang, especially for low-investment Zhiming. Even high-investment Zhiming gains the advantage of being able play cross-element Iterative Testing thanks to her. Currently, Zhiming + Skuld + Water Heimdall is the full Water team core. If your Water team is built around other Water characters, she’s generally not recommended except alongside Poseidon.
